No shame.

This picture is more for entertainment purposes.
But this is Hayley and I doing a face mask.
We felt like we should do something fun after a good day of work.
And we thought it deserved a photo.

Glowing Bedroom

A view into my room at night.
With no over head light in the room, Christmas lights and a paper standing light are what provides me with a little illumination. When the paper lantern is on its lowest setting, it glows a soft orange, a nice contrast to the grey flooded sky outside.
My room is simple.
But with a balcony and large windows that face out towards the ocean, I have no complaints.

Early Morning Market

Nothing could be better than walking along the docks around Granville Market. This is a gem in Vancouver; the entire Granville area is full of art and local businesses tucked away under bridges and touching the waterfront. Early on Friday I went for a walk through the market which was already full of people; local and visiting. From food to crafts, the market is packed with wonderful finds. The industrial building makes it seem fairly nostalgic for something I've never seen before... and so I already know it's a place I'll visit very often.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Spanning over the Capilano river in North Vancouver is the infamous Capilano Suspension Bridge. Long, shaky and thin, the bridge is a tourist attraction that is hidden in the forest, with small coffee shops, art displays and other hiking walkways at either entrance of the bridge. Walking across the river is calm and quiet, and when you're in the center, the noise from the street and the surrounding attractions are completely overpowered by the running water below. It feels completely separate from the city; a part of the slow climb up the mountain side.

Moving to the Pacific Coast

This is my photo blog. I don't want to do anything too complex, extravagant or overwhelming, just a series of photographs of things I do or see that I find interesting. If you look through them, I hope you like them, and maybe you'll get to experience a bit of the West Coast that I see.
